Neurological Scanning

The process which addresses the problem of subluxation, which is an abnormal spinal position/movement of the vertebrae to disturb communication within the central nervous system causing a disturbance in the body. This scanning provides the information necessary to correct the abnormality.

Many people believe chiropractic care focuses only on the spine, but the truth of the matter is neurologic interference in the spine causes a myriad of ailments. Many common problems can be naturally treated with vertebral adjustments.

  • How does neurological scanning work?
    • Dr. Spacke uses a surface Electromyogram machine which helps detect areas of nerve disturbance, document and monitor treatment possibilities and delivers the results to recommend the appropriate chiropractic care. Modern neurological scanning equipment tests three very vital components to your central nervous system: the first part of the scan determines the function of your spinal cord, the second aspect determines the function of the muscles of your back, and the third determines the function of specific nerve roots.
    • The scanning procedure has three functions, takes less than 10 minutes and is completely pain-free.
      1. It emits infrared beams into the spinal column and bounces back the image to determine the integrity of the spinal cord.
      2. The roller has heat sensors which read the tone of the muscle to find out if the muscles are experiencing spasms or if they're flaccid and not contracting at the right frequency.
      3. Starting at the base of the skill and continuing down to the base of the tailbone, surface electrodes read the electrical frequencies at each and every vertebrae level to find out if your nerves are sending the right frequency.
    • Dr. Spacke will analyze the scan to determine the amount of neurological dysfunction and will then discuss with you the treatment which is necessary to make sure your system is working properly.
